NMU Bakery and Gifts is here to provide the university community with a taste of home. We offer delicious fresh-baked cookies, brownies, cupcakes and our specialty cookie cake. These tasty treats are available to order just for fun or for special events such as birthdays or finals week. If you would like to make the day of an NMU student, we ask that orders be placed one week prior to the day of celebration. We will then notify the student by email and phone the day prior to pick up.
Students may pick up their order in the Simply Superior Catering & Events office, located in Room 1103 of the University Center, between the hours of 12:00 PM – 5:00PM on Monday –Friday.

Our Dining Services staff is a highly motivated group of individuals working as a team to provide you with service that exceeds your expectations.
NMU Dining Services employs more than 450 students each semester with a total student payroll of nearly $1,000,000 per year. We offer competitive starting salaries ranging from $7.40 to $10.45 per hour (wages are subject to change depending on minimum wage increases).
In addition, you are given an opportunity for advancement based upon your work performance. Many of our student employees work in our department their entire college career and advance from kitchen attendant to student supervisor. What a great addition to a job resume!
There are many other advantages to working in Dining Services. We work around your class schedule, you get to meet a lot of great people, and there is no need for transportation with a job on campus.

When there’s no time to dine in, get your “Meals on the Go”!
“Meals on the Go” is a convenient program available to students with a meal plan. If you are unable to dine-in during a designated meal period due to a conflicting event, “Meals on the Go” allows you to preorder and pick up a meal. This service is available for lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday. To participate in this program, you are asked to complete and submit a “Meals on the Go” application form to the Simply Superior Catering and Events Office (Room 1104 University Center). To ensure a safe and high quality product, we ask that meals are eaten within four hours of pickup.

The Wildcat Express Office will deduct one meal for this service if the student fails to pick up brown bag meal.
Students will request their “Meals on the Go” from the cashier in the MP and Café Libri. The cashier will swipe the student’s card and deduct a meal from their plan.
To ensure a safe and high quality product, lunches must be consumed within 4 hours of pickup.
The participant is responsible for notifying the Simply Superior Catering & Events when they want to stop the “Meals on the Go” program, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 906-227-2623.
If you’re not feeling well, rest up while a friend picks up your meals.
NMU Dining, as well as Housing and Residence Life, would like to ensure the comfort and wellness of all residential students by offering the Sick Tray Take-Out Request program. If you are not feeling well enough to leave your room or believe that you may be contagious, we ask that you take advantage of this great program by first downloading the Sick Tray Take-Out Request form. The completed form must be signed by either your Resident Advisor or Resident Director before a friend, roommate or suitemate may pick up your meal.
Please remember, if you are ill it is best for everyone to rest in bed and have your meals delivered.
The Food Advisory Board is comprised of student representatives selected by ASNMU from each residential hall and off-campus dining patrons.
This group meets several times a semester with Dining staff to discuss the Residential Dining Facilities, Retail operations, and the convenience store.
This program, hosted by ASNMU and Dining Services, is open for anyone to attend. It is an open discussion for Q’s and A’s. Let’s Chat meetings happen several times a semester.
