DINE NMU Meal Plans provide participants a number of “all you care to eat” meals at Northern Lights Dining, based on the plan chosen. Meal visits can also be used towards the X-Change menu at the new quick service restaurant, which will open in the Northern Center in fall 2019. Dine NMU is available to all commuter students, faculty, staff and the local community. To purchase a plan, you must visit the Wildcat Express Center, located in Room 1227 inside the Northern Center. You can purchase a plan using cash, check or adding the charge to your student account.

SUPERIOR PLAN- $620
Includes 60 meal visits and $150 CatCa$h
SMART PLAN – $500
Includes 50 meal visits and $100 CatCa$h
STANDARD PLAN – $210
Includes 25 meal visits
SIMPLE PLAN – $100
Includes $100 CatCa$h

Dine NMU plans never expire and carry over from Fall Semester to Winter Semester! The plans allow you to take advantage of all the great food available on campus every day. The plans do not allow our customers to request “To-Go” containers, or remove food and/or utensils from the dining rooms. Do you need more meals? The DINE NMU plans can be purchased again at any time or think about purchasing one of our Residential Meal Plans, these plans are also available to Faculty, Staff, Commuter Students and Apartment Residents.

When do the Dine NMU meal plans expire?
Never! The 60, 50, and 25 visit meal plans carry over each semester.
Can I share my ID with another student
Students are not permitted to share their meal plan with anyone; lending another student their student I.D. can be cause for disciplinary action.

When do Dining Dollars expire?
Dining Dollars are transferable from fall to winter semesters. However, students leaving at the end of fall
semester will not be able to refund any balance.
Where are Dining Dollars accepted?
Dining Dollars are accepted at all of the NMU Dining locations. These include: Fieras, CatTrax, Northern Lights Dining,
The Wildcat Den, Starbucks, Wildcat Café, Smoothie King, Temaki, Melted and Sundre.
Dining Dollars come with all Residential Meal Plans allowing students to purchase meals with their balance at any of the NMU dining locations. They are transferable from Fall to Winter Semester, but expire at the end of winter semester. Any remaining amount is non-refundable.
CATCA$H is a program that allows students to use their Wildcat Express Student ID Card for certain student transactions. It is an accepted form of payment at all NMU dining locations and the library, and CatCa$h never expires. Students may add CATCA$H to their Student ID Card in four different ways. Visit FAQ to find out how.It is refundable if you are graduating or leaving the University permanently and you must have $15 or more to be refunded.
