NMU’s Hunters’ Feast Wins Silver at NACUFS Loyal E. Horton’s Dining Awards


NMU placed Second in the Medium School category at the 2014 Loyal E. Horton’s Dining Awards, a National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) competition.


NMU Dining entered a scrapbook detailing the event’s planning, construction, and successful execution of the very popular Hunters’ Feast event. This is NMU’s second Silver in a row, following last year’s 2013 win for Pigstock.

NMU Dining Featured on Food-Management.com

Because of the success of the Olympic Dinner in February, NMU Dining is currently being featured on Food-Management.com.

The Marketplace was outfitted with flags, streamers, and other decorations to commemorate the event. Our Olympic Dinner, showcasing meals from several countries participating in the 2014 Olympics, fed roughly 2800 students.

NMU Dining received the Silver award in the Residential Dining-Special Events category in the 2013 NACUFS Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards competition for their PigStock themed dinner. PigStock was an all-day event featuring delicious, innovative pork and bacon dishes as well as live music and prizes.
