Dining in NMU's food service facilities will be one of the most pleasant social functions you will regularly participate in while on campus. The Dining Services Department operates two residence hall dining facilities (the Marketplace and the Wildcat Den) and four cash operation facilities (Fieras, Cat Trax, Temaki and Tea, and Starbucks) on campus. Residence hall meal plans (Constant Pass, Any 14 and Any 8) can be used in either the Marketplace or the Wildcat Den. The Dining Dollars attached to each plan can be used in all Dining Services locations including cash operations.

All students living in residence halls are required to participate in one of the following meal plans (meal plans are for the designated student and cannot be used for guests ). Dining Services encourages participants to enjoy food to their full delight. However, in the interest of conservation and cost containment, it is important that students judge carefully what they intend to eat and not waste food. Each meal plan includes flexible cash value, Dining Dollars, which allow students to purchase snacks or eat at our cash operations.

All residence hall meal plans are valid beginning with breakfast on August 19, 2009 at the Wildcat Den and August 20, 2009 for lunch at the Marketplace and continues through lunch May 1, 2010.

Exceptions are:

  1. Thanksgiving break, when no meals will be served after
dinner on Tuesday preceding the break until dinner on Sunday
    following break.
  2. Spring break, when no meals are served after dinner on
Friday preceding break until dinner on Sunday following break.
