Sick Tray Take-Out Request Form
Housing and Residence Life and NMU Dining would like to ensure the wellness of all students using
the dining halls by offering the Sick Tray Take-Out Request form on-line for those currently ill with the flu.
You may download the Sick Tray Request Take-Out form below, and then take the completed form to your Resident Advisor (RA) or Resident
Director (RD) for them to sign. Remember - NMU Dining requires a RA/RD signature on the form and your
NMU id in order for a roommate, suit mate, or friend to pick up your meal. Most importantly STAY IN
BED AND REST. Do not come into the dining halls if you are sick.

NACUFS Culinary Challenge Victory
Nathan Mileski Wins First Place at NACUFS Nationals
Senior Chef Nathan Mileski took first place for Northern Michigan Dining Services in the 9th annual National Association of
College and University Food Services culinary challenge in Milwaukee last July. In a one hour cook off, a nutritionally balanced
dish with a featured ingredient of organic rainbow trout had to had to be prepared. Nathan took the silver first place medal over
six other regional competitors from around the country.

Eric Moe Scores First Place In Reinhart Food Service Competition
On May 13th, 2009 Dining Services Cook, Eric Moe, won first place at the Reinhart Food Service Competition in the Superior Dome. Eric beat out four other cooks in thirty minute cook offs using only ingredients found at the Reinhart Food Show.
NMU Dining Services Cooks Win Gold
At UMass Chef Culinary Conference

On June 19th a team of Northern Michigan University's Dining Services cooking staff competed at The UMass Chef Culinary Conference. They won a gold medal and had the highest overall score out of 13 other teams.

This year Dining Services entered the Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards with a scrapbook showcasing the Lumberjack Brunch at the Marketplace and walked away on top of the Medium School Category with Gold. You can find out more information at the NACFUS official website here.
